Well the 'name on card' is your full name as it appears on the card and on official documents (Passport, Birth Certificate etc.) and might be in the form of Alexander J. Peterson or something (a random example, i dont know if such a name exists), and 'friendly name' might be something like Alex Peterson- aka the name you normally use in everyday and people contact you by. I hate exams

Class : ID Newbie Posts : 76 Registered on : 08/12/2007 Age : 20 Sex : Male Offline	I took a look at the site and signed up (not to buy) and looked at the add payment section and the options, and the field for 'Friendly name?' wasn't there between 'name on card' and 'card type'.. if it didn't have an * next to it, then i don't think you need to enter it if it does, I think it just means the name you want to call them by. I hate exams

And a lot of people might not know their real name. So if for billing inquiries they need to call your place of employment, they might be looking for someone such as Andrea Jo, but she goes by AJ. Or even Andy. I have heard some names to be very different. I know when I worked in a bank, we used to have other names listed so that you were authorized to sign in that name as well. Or to have it listed on your card. The only other name that I know of credit card companies to ask is mothers maiden name. But I don't think this is the case, this time.
